The 2017 OAEA Fall Convention will be at The University of Tulsa on Friday, September 29 and Saturday, September 30. Please note: the University of Tulsa Art Building is not handicap accessible.
We will have a silent auction at the conference again this year. Please consider donating a piece of artwork for the silent auction. Money made from this event will be used to fund Young Talent scholarships, Jr. Young Talent awards, and other YAM awards. We also accept donations from organizations and private individuals, if you know anyone interested in donating to help with scholarships and awards for the students.
This year’s show will be held at the Tulsa Artists’ Coalition Gallery located at 9 East M.B. Brady St. in Tulsa. OAEA members will hang the show on Sunday, September 24 at 2:00 pm. The show will be open for viewing from Monday, September 25 to Saturday, September 30, 2017. The reception for the show will be Friday, September 29 from 7:00 – 8:30 pm. All artwork must be given to an OAEA board member by September 16. Please view the submission form below for more information.
Early registration ends September 14, 2017 so be sure to register early. Late/on-site registration fees begin on September 15. OAEA accepts cash, check, purchase order, or credit cards the day of the conference.
There are two ways to register:
1. Print the Conference Registration form and submit your payment via mail or bring your registration form and payment when you arrive at the conference (late registration fee applies for any registrations received after September 14).
2. Online registration ends September 28, 2017 at 10pm and is for those paying with a credit card or purchase order only.
Share that intriguing lesson or project with your fellow art teachers at the OAEA Fall Conference! The deadline to submit your application is now Tuesday, August 15, 2017. If you are presenting your registration fees are waived, but you will still need to complete the online registration or the paper registration form.
Blocks of hotel rooms have been reserved for Friday night, but make arrangements as soon as possible to receive the reduced rate. You must book your room over the phone, and please mention “OAEA” when ordering. There are two hotel options this year:
