OAEA President Frances Williams

OAEA President Frances Williams has a BFA in Studio Art from Oklahoma State University and a Master’s in Education from the University of Central Oklahoma. She has taught art for the past 18 years for Piedmont Public Schools in Piedmont, Oklahoma.

During her career she has inspired hundreds of talented middle school students, and has been involved with OAEA/NAEA since she began her teaching career. She has been awarded the Elementary Division, Middle Division and Oklahoma Art Educator of the Year awards along with being selected as the Piedmont District Teacher of the Year. Frances regularly presents at the annual OAEA Conference and attends the annual NAEA Convention. She showcases her student’s art in a variety of exhibitions and competitions, both locally, regionally, and nationally. Frances’ passion for art is contagious, and her dedication to her students, as well as her belief in their abilities, enables them to thrive as young artists.
